100.3 WNIC is Detroit's adult contemporary station. It broadcasts on 100.3 FM, is licensed to Dearborn, Michigan, and serves Metro Detroit with the slogan "Detroit's Variety - 80s, 90s & Today". The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and on this page you can listen to WNIC live online, free.
Variety
WNIC plays adult contemporary music: the best of the 1980s and 1990s mixed with today's hits. Some programming comes through Premiere Networks, and HD2 carries TikTok Radio.
Eastern Market
WNIC's studios were formerly in Farmington Hills. In 2022 the station and five sister stations moved into the former Detroit Brewing Co. building in Eastern Market. The transmitter is near Schoolcraft Avenue and Turner Street on Detroit's Near West Side, with 32,000 watts from an antenna 600 feet high.
History
The station signed on on December 22, 1946, as WKMH-FM and was WKNR-FM from 1963 to 1972. It was WNIC-FM from 1972 to 1987 — the calls come from "Nice", from its earlier beautiful music format.
Sister stations
In Detroit, iHeartMedia also owns WDFN, WLLZ, WJLB, WKQI and WMXD.
