About KFAN FM 100.3
KFAN FM 100.3 is the audio home of Minnesota sports. It broadcasts as KFXN-FM on 100.3 FM, is licensed to Minneapolis and serves the Twin Cities, where it is known simply as KFAN, The Fan. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and on this page you can listen to KFAN live, free and in your browser.
Flagship of Minnesota's teams
KFAN is the flagship station of the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Lynx, and of Minnesota Golden Gophers football, with co-flagship status for Gophers men's basketball. Few stations in the country carry as many teams. National programming comes from Fox Sports Radio and Westwood One Sports.
Sports talk for the Twin Cities
When no game is on, KFAN fills the day with local sports talk about the Vikings, the Twins, the Wolves and the Wild, with callers from across Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
A big signal
KFXN-FM broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts from a tower in Shoreview, giving it strong coverage across the Twin Cities market. Its main studios are in St. Louis Park.
The call letters
The X in KFXN stands in for the A in "Fan": the KFAN-FM call sign was already in use by a station in Texas. The frequency itself dates from 1965.
HD Radio
KFXN-FM's HD channels add more choice: conservative talk from KTLK on HD2, K-Love on HD3 and Hot 102.5 on HD4.
