From campus to OPB

For its first 25 years the station's studio was on the Mt. Hood Community College campus in Gresham. It later moved to the studios of Oregon Public Broadcasting. The transmitter is on the Tualatin Mountains.

The call letters

KMHD stands for Mount Hood Community College, the station's owner. It went on the air in 1984.
