LSU and the Saints
WDGL is the flagship station for LSU Tigers sports broadcasts — football, men's basketball and baseball — a status it shares with WWL in New Orleans. Since 2013 it has also been the Capital Region's affiliate for New Orleans Saints games.
Studios
Along with four sister stations, the studios and offices are in the Guaranty Group building on Government Street, east of downtown.
History
The station signed on on October 1, 1968, as WAFB-FM and was WGGZ from 1985 to 1997 before taking the WDGL call letters — for "Eagle".
HD Radio and sisters
The HD2 channel simulcasts WNXX. Guaranty's Baton Rouge stations also include KNXX, WBRP, WNXX and WTGE.
