A move up the dial

WIXO was originally on 99.9 FM. In 2006 it moved to 105.7, a much higher-power license.

History of 105.7

The 105.7 frequency was first WWTO, then WWCT until 2003 and WXMP from 2003 to 2006, before WIXO moved there.

Ownership

Cumulus purchased WIXO and its sister stations from Townsquare Media. WIXO's sister stations are WFYR, WGLO, WVEL and WZPW.
