About 96.5 KOIT
96.5 KOIT is the San Francisco Bay Area's adult contemporary station. It broadcasts on 96.5 FM, is licensed to San Francisco and uses the slogan "Today's Hits & The Bay Area's Favorites". The station is owned by Connoisseur Media, and on this page you can listen to KOIT live online, free. The online stream is offered to listeners inside the United States; outside the country it may not play because of rights restrictions.
Hits and favorites
KOIT plays adult contemporary music — today's hits and Bay Area favorites from past decades. HD2 carries "Highway 1", an adult album alternative channel, and HD3 simulcasts KBAY.
Sutro Tower
The studios are along Junipero Serra Boulevard in Daly City, and KOIT transmits from Sutro Tower in San Francisco with 24,000 watts; a booster, KOIT-FM3 in Martinez, improves coverage in the Diablo Valley.
Coit Tower
The station signed on on July 1, 1947, as KRON-FM. It became KOIT in 1975 — named for Coit Tower, the San Francisco landmark — and was KOIT-FM from 1983 to 2010.
Sister stations
In the Bay Area, Connoisseur also owns KBLX-FM, KMVQ-FM, KUFX, KBAY and KEZR.
