History

1350 AM signed on in 1946 as KCOR and carried those call letters for most of its history. It became KXTN — for "Tejano" — in 2014, returned to KCOR in 2015 and took the KXTN name again in 2019. The transmitter is in Northwest San Antonio.

San Antonio is the capital of Tejano music, and KXTN keeps the genre on the air for the city that made it.
