80s, 90s and more

WROR plays classic hits — the pop and rock favorites of the 1980s and 1990s, with more mixed in.

Waltham and the Prudential

The studios are in the Boston suburb of Waltham, and the transmitter is at the Prudential Tower in downtown Boston.

History

The station signed on on February 10, 1960, as WKOX-FM. It was WVBF from 1971 to 1993, then WCLB-FM and WKLB-FM, before becoming WROR-FM. The WROR call letters were previously used on the former WROR at 98.5 FM in Boston, now WBZ-FM.

Sister stations

In Boston, Beasley also owns WBOS, WBQT, WBZ-FM, WKLB-FM and WRCA.
