About 107.3 The Eagle
107.3 The Eagle is Tampa Bay's classic hits station. Classic hits with a rock lean
WXGL's classic hits lean toward classic rock, mainly from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, sometimes going older. Unlike some classic hits stations, The Eagle does not play pop or dance artists such as Madonna or Michael Jackson.
HD Radio
WXGL broadcasts in HD Radio; its HD2 channel simulcasts WHPT.
History
The frequency signed on September 1, 1965, as WPIN-FM. It was later WWBA-FM, WWRM, WCOF and WBBY before becoming WXGL — a play on "Eagle".
Sister stations
Cox's Tampa Bay stations also include WDUV, WHPT, WTBV and WWRM.
