History

The station signed on in August 1971 as WESM. It later became WMJS, then WBZS-FM — when Mega Communications bought it in 2000, it joined a simulcast with WBPS-FM 94.3 in Warrenton, Virginia, for the Spanish-language "La Nueva Mega" and, from 2005, "Mega Clasica". It was WWXT from 2006 and WDCJ from 2017 before taking the WPRS call letters — "Praise" — in 2025.
