About 107.5 FM WBLS

107.5 WBLS is New York's R&B station. It broadcasts on 107.5 FM, serves the New York metropolitan area and calls itself "#1 for R&B in New York". The station is owned by MediaCo, and on this page you can listen to WBLS live online, free. The online stream is offered to listeners inside the United States; outside the country it may not play because of rights restrictions.

Urban adult contemporary

WBLS plays urban adult contemporary music: the best of R&B and soul, from the classics that made the station famous to today's R&B, with personalities who have been part of New York's Black radio culture for decades. National programming comes from Premiere Networks.

A New York institution

The frequency signed on in September 1965 as WLIB-FM, the FM sister of WLIB, and played jazz at first because of a new FCC rule limiting AM/FM simulcasts. In 1972 it became WBLS, and Inner City Broadcasting — one of the most important Black-owned media companies in America — reunited it with WLIB in 1974. WBLS went on to become one of the most influential R&B stations in the country.

HD channels

WBLS broadcasts in HD Radio. Its HD2 channel, Luna 107.5, plays Latin pop, and HD3, One Love Radio, plays Caribbean music — two more stations on the same frequency for New York's diverse audience.

Sister stations

WBLS shares ownership with WQHT (Hot 97) and the low-power TV station WASA-LD.
