About Bloomberg 1130
Bloomberg 1130 is New York's business and financial news station. It broadcasts as WBBR on 1130 AM, is licensed to New York City and is the flagship station of Bloomberg Radio, the radio service of Bloomberg L.P. On this page you can listen to Bloomberg 1130 live online, free.
Business news around the clock
WBBR offers general and financial news 24 hours a day: market reports, company news and economic data, along with interviews with corporate executives, economists and industry analysts. It is the radio companion of Bloomberg's financial terminals and television channel, and its slogan, "New York's Business & Financial Leader", says what it is for. General news comes from ABC News Radio.
A famous frequency
The 1130 AM frequency has a long history in New York. It went on the air in April 1922 and from 1934 to 1992 was WNEW, one of the city's best-loved music and personality stations. Bloomberg bought it in the 1990s and turned it into WBBR — Bloomberg Business Radio.
A clear-channel signal
WBBR is a clear-channel station, so its signal covers the New York metropolitan area strongly and travels much further at night.
