710 WOR live

710 WOR is "The Voice of New York". It broadcasts on 710 AM, is licensed to New York City and is owned by iHeartMedia. WOR is one of the country's historic radio stations and a 50,000-watt clear-channel signal, and on this page you can listen to it live online, free and without an app.

News and talk

WOR's schedule mixes local and national talk. Much of it comes from iHeartMedia's Premiere Networks, including well-known syndicated talk shows and the overnight program Coast to Coast AM, and the station has been the flagship of NBC News Radio since 2016. Compass Media Networks provides more programming.

Since 1922

WOR began broadcasting on February 22, 1922, and is one of the oldest continuously operating stations in the United States. Its three-letter call sign is typical of stations from the 1920s; the letters were assigned at random, though they are sometimes said to mean "World of Radio".

A clear-channel giant

As a Class A clear-channel station running 50,000 watts, WOR covers the whole New York metropolitan area, and at night its signal travels much further. The transmitter is in Rutherford, New Jersey, and the studios are on West 55th Street in Midtown Manhattan.

Sister stations

In New York, WOR shares ownership with WLTW (106.7 Lite FM), WHTZ (Z100), WKTU, WAXQ (Q104.3), WWPR-FM (Power 105.1) and WWRL.

How to listen

You can hear WOR on the radio on 710 AM across the New York area, but you do not need a radio at all: this page plays the live stream in any browser, on a phone, tablet or computer. Press the play button at the top, wait a second or two for the stream to connect, and keep browsing while it plays — the player stays on as you move between pages. It is ideal for the morning talk or Coast to Coast AM at night, and it costs nothing: no account, no subscription and no app to install.

Below the player you will find WOR's frequency and home city, the genres it plays, answers to common questions and a list of similar stations, so when you want a change you can jump to another station in the same format or the same area with one click.
