About NewsRadio 1060 / 103.9 KYW
KYW Newsradio is Philadelphia's all-news station. It broadcasts on 1060 AM and is simulcast on 103.9 FM (WPHI-FM), serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area with "All News All the Time". The station is owned by Audacy, and here you can listen to KYW live online, free. The online stream is offered to listeners inside the United States; outside the country it may not play because of rights restrictions.
All news, all the time
KYW is built for people who want to know what is happening right now: news from Philadelphia, the suburbs, New Jersey and Delaware, regular traffic and weather reports, and national and world news from ABC News Radio, the Associated Press and Bloomberg Radio. The station also works with Philadelphia's NBC television station, WCAU.
A clear-channel signal
KYW is a 50,000-watt Class A clear-channel station — one of two in Philadelphia, the other being sister station WPHT. With a good radio its nighttime signal reaches much of the eastern United States and eastern Canada; its antenna limits the signal toward Mexico City and New York to protect other stations near 1060 AM.
Born in Chicago
KYW went on the air in November 1921 in Chicago and moved to Philadelphia in 1934. Between 1956 and 1965 the station's call letters were WRCV, before KYW returned to Philadelphia for good.
Other ways to listen
KYW's programming is also carried on the HD2 channel of sister station 94.1 WIP-FM.
