AM 1160 WYLL live

AM 1160 WYLL is Chicago's Christian talk station. It broadcasts on 1160 AM with the slogan "Chicago's Christian Talk" and is owned by Salem Media. On this page you can listen to WYLL live online, free.

Christian talk

WYLL carries a Christian radio format with programming from the Salem Radio Network.

50,000 watts

WYLL operates at 50,000 watts around the clock. Unlike Chicago's other 50,000-watt AM stations, WSCR and WLS, it is a Class B regional station with fewer protections from interference. Its daytime signal still provides at least secondary coverage to about half of Illinois.

History

The station signed on October 13, 1924, as WJJD and kept those call letters until 1997. It was WSCR and briefly WXRT before becoming WYLL.

Sister station

WYLL's sister station is WIND.

Faith, anywhere

Press play and WYLL starts in seconds — on the Kennedy, at work or far from Illinois. The stream on this page carries the same programming you hear on 1160 AM.

Why listeners tune in

For Chicago-area listeners who want Bible teaching and Christian talk throughout the day, WYLL is a powerful voice on the dial — a station with a century of history behind it.
