NewsRadio 700 WLW live

NewsRadio 700 WLW is Cincinnati's news and talk station. It broadcasts on 700 AM, serves the Cincinnati metropolitan area and uses the slogan "Cincinnati's News, Traffic & Weather". The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and on this page you can listen to WLW live online, free.

Talk and sports

WLW airs a talk radio format with news from ABC News Radio and programs from Westwood One. It is also a sports station for the region, carrying the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Bearcats.

A giant signal

The transmitter site in nearby Mason features a distinctive diamond-shaped Blaw-Knox tower. By day WLW reaches almost all of Ohio and Indiana and much of central Kentucky, at city-grade strength as far as Indianapolis, Lexington and Columbus, with secondary coverage as far as Louisville and the outer suburbs of Cleveland and Detroit. At night, with a good radio, it can be heard across much of North America.

A century on the air

WLW signed on on March 23, 1922, and has been one of the Midwest's best-known radio stations ever since.

Sister stations

In Cincinnati, iHeartMedia also owns WCKY, WEBN, WKFS, WKRC and WSAI.

You can hear WLW on the radio on 700 AM across Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, but you do not need a radio at all: this page plays the live stream in any browser, on a phone, tablet or computer. Press the play button at the top, wait a second or two for the stream to connect, and keep browsing while it plays — the player stays on as you move between pages. It is ideal for a Reds game or the morning traffic, and it costs nothing: no account, no subscription and no app to install.

Below the player you will find WLW's frequency and home city, the genres it plays, answers to common questions and a list of similar stations, so when you want a change you can jump to another station in the same format or the same area with one click.
