About NewsRadio WTAM 1100

Newsradio WTAM 1100 is Cleveland's news, talk and sports station. It broadcasts on 1100 AM, is licensed to Cleveland and serves Greater Cleveland and much of Northeast Ohio under the slogan "Cleveland's News, Talk & Sports". The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and on this page you can listen to WTAM live online, free.

News, talk and sports

WTAM mixes local news and talk about Cleveland and Ohio with sports coverage, and its schedule includes national programs from Premiere Networks. National news comes from ABC News Radio and Fox News Radio.

A clear-channel station

WTAM is a clear-channel station with extended range at night, so its signal reaches far beyond Northeast Ohio after dark. It is also Northeast Ohio's primary entry point station for the Emergency Alert System.

A Cleveland landmark

WTAM went on the air in September 1923. For a time in the 1950s and 60s the frequency carried the call letters KYW and later WKYC, and in the 1970s it was WWWE, before returning to WTAM in 1996. The call letters themselves simply refer to the AM band.

Sister stations

In Cleveland, iHeartMedia also owns WMMS, WGAR-FM, WMJI, WAKS, WARF and WHLK.
