History

The station signed on on September 20, 1946, as WIOD-FM, the FM partner of WIOD. It was WCKR-FM and again WIOD-FM, then WAIA from 1971 to 1986 and WGTR before becoming WFLC — from a former brand, "Florida's Coast".
