About KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM

KOA is Denver's news, talk and sports station. It broadcasts on 850 AM and 94.1 FM, is licensed to Denver and serves the Denver–Boulder–Colorado Springs area under the slogan "Denver's News, Talk & Sports". The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and on this page you can listen to KOA live online, free.

Flagship of Colorado sports

KOA is the flagship station of the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Buffaloes, so it carries the biggest games in the state with full pregame and postgame shows.

News and talk

Between games, KOA is news and talk for Colorado: local news, traffic and weather, and talk shows about Denver and the state, with national programs from Premiere Networks and Compass Media. News comes from NBC News Radio, ABC News Radio and Fox News Radio, and the station partners with Denver television stations KCNC-TV and KDVR.

A signal across the West

KOA went on the air in December 1924 and is one of the great clear-channel stations of the West. Its 850 AM signal covers much of Colorado, and at night it reaches across a large part of the western United States. The transmitter is off South Parker Road in Parker, and the studios are in Southeast Denver.

Sister stations

iHeartMedia's Denver stations include KBCO, KBPI, KRFX, KTCL, KHOW and others.
