All news
WWJ is all-news radio: local news, traffic and weather for Metro Detroit, with national news from ABC News Radio and a partnership with WWJ-TV.
Michigan sports
WWJ is the flagship station of the Michigan Sports Network and is affiliated with the Detroit Pistons.
A radio pioneer
WWJ is one of the oldest radio stations in the United States. It went on the air on August 20, 1920, as 8MK and became WBL in 1921 before the WWJ call letters arrived in 1922. The call sign has no special meaning: it was assigned after the station asked for a call that could be easily understood.
Studios
The studios are in the Panasonic Building in Southfield.
Sister stations
In Detroit, Audacy also owns WDZH, WOMC, WXYT, WXYT-FM and WYCD.
