990 The Answer live

AM 990 The Answer is Philadelphia's conservative talk station. It broadcasts as WNTP on 990 AM with the slogan "Conservative Talk for Philadelphia" and is owned by Salem Media Group. On this page you can listen to The Answer live online, free.

Conservative talk

WNTP carries conservative talk from the Salem Radio Network, Townhall News and Compass Media Networks.

Signal

By day WNTP runs 50,000 watts, the maximum for U.S. commercial AM stations. At sunset it reduces to 10,000 watts to protect other stations, using a four-tower directional array.

History

The station dates to 1925, when it signed on as WIBG. It kept those call letters until 1977, was WZZD until 2004, and then became WNTP — "News–talk Philadelphia".

Talk, anywhere

Press play and The Answer starts in seconds — on I-95, at work or far from Pennsylvania. The stream on this page carries the same programming you hear on 990 AM.

Why listeners tune in

For listeners across the Delaware Valley who want conservative perspectives on the news and politics, The Answer is a dedicated voice on the AM dial, with roots going back a century.
